Smartphone sales buck slowdown on strong urban, rural demand

The growth in smartphone adoption was further fuelled by the government’s push to position the country as a global hub for manufacturing and coax Apple and other leading brands to produce and export more phones from India. Experts say that phone shipment is expected to see high single-digit to double-digit growth in India.

Citizenship bill, Article 370 flavoured up social media platforms this year

With over 451 million Internet users, India is second only to China in terms of monthly active internet users, as per estimates of industry body IAMAI. Interestingly, about 66 million of these are children aged between 5-11 years, who access internet on devices of their family members, constituting about 15 per cent of India’s active Internet userbase.

Huawei, Oppo woo developers for localised mobile services

The bill seeks to bring in amendments to the Immigration and Nationality Act to eliminate the per-country limitation for employment-based immigrants.
